OUR STORY

MISSION. HISTORY. PHILOSOPHY

OUR MISSION

"To advance the Kingdom of God, by winning souls and developing healthy and successful believers.”

This will be achieved by equipping members with in-depth teaching and anointed preaching of the whole Word of God. Our passion is to empower members to pursue their personal vision in the earth, and for the Kingdom of God.

Our goal is getting people saved and stabilized in Christ.

OUR PHILISOPHY

Living by faith

Entrusting our talents, finances, and plans in God’s control. We read and follow our Bible to gain a new understanding of His word.

Honor to others

Providing an atmosphere of respect, whereby each person can contribute and thrive.

Grace in Our Relationships

Practicing thoughtfulness, kindness, generosity, courtesy, freedom, forgiveness, encouragement, and appreciation of each other.

Generosity to Everyone

Giving liberally of our time, talent, treasure, and temple for God’s Glory.

Character in Ourselves

Being living examples of the redemptive power of Christ, as we live a life of integrity.

Accountability to One Another

A willingness to answer for one’s life is characterized by vulnerability, teachability, honesty, and availability. We are careful of how to entertain others.  Someone might be God’s messenger for you.

OUR HISTORY

Historically Factual:

Two (2) Pastors in 100 years!!!

Morgan Park Pentecostal Church was founded by the late Robert Sunday.  After migrating from Pensacola, Florida, God called him to establish a ministry in the Morgan Park/Maple Park area in Chicago, Illinois.  For sixty-one years Pastor Sunday connected well with this community and served as Pastor until his death in 1984. The highlight of his ministry was building a church on Monterey Avenue.  The church grew and prospered.

Our second Pastor, Fitz Barclay, Jr., was called to serve from 1984 through the present.  This global ministry has touched three continents and established a domestic violence center close to the church.  Currently, more people are being added to the church.
